This has been a wild and worrisome time at Little Frog Ranch! The Ross Fire started in Palo Pinto County and spread north into Jack County. As of today, it has covered 83,000 acres and is only at 12% containment. We watched every update we could find online overnight, hoping it would miss Little Frog Ranch. Our wonderful neighbor contacted us during the night to let us know that the fire was spreading and the forestry service was there working, as evacuations were being made.

Ranch Update
Things at Little Frog Ranch moved slowly but surely this year. There is always plenty to do there! The wellhouse (aka The Shanty) blew away. It was always meant to be temporary until we could build a stronger, more insulated structure for the well equipment. So, that is one project that is being worked on. The new and improved wellhouse is almost complete, just needs the siding added.
We recently had hay delivered to make sure that Moon and Mimi have enough food for the winter. We also bought our first Round Hay Bale Feeder for the cows. They love to play in the hay, which leaves a huge mess, so hopefully this will help them save some for food and not just fun.

Still Mooing Along
Little Frog Ranch is still moving (or mooing) along! The cows are growing nicely. Things remain nice and cozy out there for Mimi and Moon. Here are some pictures from this week:
